The media release, up front

Every guest signs a mutual media rights and release before we record. It runs both ways, so you get the same rights to the footage that I do. In plain terms:

We each get a perpetual, worldwide licence to publish and clip the recording, including in paid promotion of the episode.
We each consent to the other using our name, likeness, title and logo in connection with the episode.
I may edit for length and clarity, and use routine AI production tools such as transcription and captioning. Neither of us may use the other's voice or likeness to generate synthetic content.
Mutual non-disparagement, which does not restrict truthful statements.

I send the full document for signature through Agree.com before the recording, and that signed copy is the one that counts.
